January 16 @ 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm
Our next chapter meeting will feature Annika from Cool the Earth, a non-profit organization focused on reducing carbon emissions and air pollution. Cool the Earth believes personal actions are essential to reducing carbon emissions. Their signature campaign, Drive Clean Bay Area, helps people swap combustion cars for electric vehicles — the single most effective personal step. Speaker bio: Annika Osborn is focused on climate mitigation and works for Cool the Earth as the Outreach and Program Director on the Drive Clean Bay Area campaign. She engages her local community in climate actions as the Volunteer Engagement Chair with Drawdown: Marin. Annika enjoys hiking the hills and beaches of Marin County with her dog, Indigo, and cooking adventures with her family.
Note that we will be meeting in the afternoon this month, and we will also conduct elections for chapter officers at this meeting. In regard to the latter, please contact Ben White or Jerry Pohorsky if you would like to nominate somebody (including yourself). Open positions include Vice-President and Secretary. (This was an online meeting, using Zoom).
